FOCUS is an innovative partnership between LISC, the Central Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Indianapolis Coalition for Neighborhood Development and the City of Indianapolis. This city-wide collaboration is making changes in the planning, advocacy, and delivery of economic development projects. The goal is to build long-lasting relationships that connect neighborhoods with businesses and new resources to revitalize urban markets.

To jumpstart commercial development in urban neighborhoods of Indianapolis and create dynamic models for community–supported revitalization.

Indy Site Finder
The Indy Site Finder is a unique tool that allows you to search for commercial, industrial, and retail property for sale or lease, and vacant land in Indianapolis/Marion County. Combining the City's GIS mapping data with a web site, the Indy Site Finder also provides demographic information, business data, maps and information about Indianapolis.   The City of Indianapolis and LISC have created a new neighborhood business district revitalization program to stimulate economic development in urban neighborhoods.
   
  Irvington apartment, streetscape projects clear hurdles

  Facade Improvement Program
The 2012 Program Application is now available. (Versión Española) The deadline for Round 1 was January 27, 2012.  Additional applications for 2012 are no longer being accepted.  Information about the 2013 program will be available this fall.  More Information.
 
  Foundation finds buyer for 16th Street buildings after 6-year search
Two brothers purchased the pair of connected buildings at the northwest corner of 16th and Alabama streets and will use the property for a 50-seat café and the offices for Nottingham Realty Group. View IBJ article
 
  Immigrant-owned companies eligible for grants to improve facades, building entrances
The Local Initiatives Support Corp. has teamed up with Fostering Commercial Urban Strategies and the Business Ownership Initiative of Indiana to help support immigrant-owned businesses citywide. The program is called the Small Business Facade Program. The program will reimburse business owners up to 50 percent of the cost to make improvements on primary front-facing facades and building entrances. View PDF of IndyStar article
